Prohibited Materials Policy

10.1 Purpose

This Policy identifies categories of materials that may not be listed, offered, traded, or transacted through the Platform. This list is not exhaustive, and the Company reserves the right to determine at its sole discretion whether any material is prohibited.

10.2 Absolutely Prohibited Materials

The following materials are prohibited under all circumstances and may not be listed on the Platform:

  • Radioactive materials;
  • Biological hazards and biohazardous waste;
  • Chemical weapons, precursors, or controlled chemical agents;
  • Materials subject to international prohibition under applicable UAE or UN sanctions;
  • Counterfeit goods or goods infringing third-party intellectual property rights;
  • Materials derived from illegal or unauthorised activities;
  • Human remains or body parts;
  • Endangered species or materials derived therefrom under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES);
  • Narcotics, controlled substances, or their precursors.

10.3 Conditionally Restricted Materials

The following materials may only be listed where the Seller holds all required UAE regulatory licences, permits, and approvals and provides acceptable evidence to the Company upon request:

  • Hazardous waste and industrial hazardous materials;
  • Electronic waste (e-waste);
  • Medical or pharmaceutical waste;
  • Asbestos-containing materials;
  • Materials subject to UAE export control regulations;
  • Any material requiring a special environmental permit under UAE Federal Law No. 12 of 2018 on Integrated Waste Management or its executive regulations.

10.4 Reporting

Users who identify listings for Prohibited Materials must report them immediately to compliance@alkhiidma.com. The Company will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include listing removal, account suspension or termination, and referral to UAE regulatory or law enforcement authorities.
